Zapmap is an electronic platform and service from England that deals with electric car charging stations. Zapmap Limited, whose office is in Bristol, provides the service and operates under the supervision of the company's Chief Executive Officer, Richard Bourne. Zapmap Limited cooperates with its owner, Good Energy Company, and was founded in 2012 by Richard Bourne and Ben Lane.
While using the Zapmap website and corresponding mobile applications, visitors can rely on a charge point map, trip planners and the payment system, Zap-Pay. Zap-Pay integrates all the billing processes for charging stations operated by companies such as MFG EV Power, GeniePoint and Connected Kerb. These solutions enable visitors to identify and use available charging stations, prepare a route and make a payment.
In addition, Zapmap also has commercial products. The most popular solutions include Zapmap Insights and Zapmap Spark APIs, which help users obtain data on the market situation and use the corresponding services via software integration. The company claims to be the biggest provider of charging station maps for UK motorists and authorities.
